Subie and/or EVO Tuning Day At VIP Garage - Well possibly

Hey folks,

I wanted to post to see if you guys would be interested.

We have a very close relationship with Al from Dynoflash. Some of you know the name some may not. He is a very well known tuner that was building and racing WRX's before he ever touched an EVO.

He comes down to our shop quite often to tune EVOs and said he would love to tune some local Subies too. He actually has an 05 Sti that he has been going nuts with.

The tune is a street tune where an Innovative Wideband and Map Sensor are hooked up and they are broken down into 2 hour time slots.

Al can flash you stock ECU, Tune an access port, Utec, Ecutek and various other management systems. His tunes have shown well over 20-30whp gains with minimal mods and various other options are available. If you want a particular tune you can have it done to your liking.

The dates would be Nov. 4th or Nov 11th. Starting at 11am and going in two hour increments till about 10pm or later if needed.

We need 5 committed people to lock in the date and we can even add another day if we get enough people.

Once we get this going all we need is a $100 deposit to secure you spot and then you just show with your car and leave with a huge grin on your face.

This is you chance to get that extra HP out of your setup without spending an arm and a leg.

Full tune costs a total of $375.

During the tuning days the shop is 100% up and running so we can perform all the last minute installs you may have. Also many times when folks schedule these tuning days they want to go ahead and get some additional parts to maximize the tune. We can help you get all the parts and installs you could want as well.

Let me know what you guys think and any questions or suggestions you may have.

Thanks for your time and consideration.

cool bud. tell your buddies, spread the word. If we get like 10 people we'll make a whole weekend out of it and have a little get together. These weekends are always a lot of fun.

I'm actually familiar with Al from a number of years back.

If our cars don't have a wide band o2 bung how do you hook-up the sensor? Are you using an exhaust clamp? If so, can you (Al) compensate the A/F ratio if there is a cat prior to the sensor? I know there is much debate on how much richer the ratio actually is with a high-flow cat at full throttle.

Where do you plan to road tune? I'm not trying to get you (or Al) in trouble, but the best gear to tune a WRX in is 4th gear, which tops out at over 100mph and is well above the limit in this area.

If the tune takes less than an hour do you get a pro-rated discount?

Al does use a clamp wideband sensor. He goes out and finds spots to do the road runs and after like 8 times he has been here there has never been a problem.

There is no pro-rated amount. Some cars take 30 minutes to tune and others take 2-3 hours. The $375 is the same no matter how long it takes.

Unless a miracal happens and my JDM motor and heads fix themselves, I'm happy with my tune.

Hmmm ...

I have a UTEC that needs to be installed. As well as a new intake. Could do with a tune once those are in.

Just concerned about cash right now.

UTEC and intake are easy. You and I could do that an about an hour if your free some afternoon or evening.

True. Might do that a few days before and then get the tune.
