WTB - Pre-2002 2.5RS

Post by complacent »

Okay that's it. I really need to sell the STi to a good home. I don't drive her nearly enough to warrant the cost any longer. So I'm looking to move into a GC-ish RS.

My only requirement is that it have a 5-speed. I have no other concerns. Sunroof, 2 door vs 4 door, color - I don't really care.

So if anyone sees one for sale, please, please, please let me know. Thanks!

After everything I've been through keeping an SV.... Someone's going to have to pry that one out of my cold, dead hands. 8)

Here's what ebay had to offer.

Linky and the Brain

The closest one is the Blue '00 in Ridgewood, NY with bidding start at $100 (but there's a reserve, of course) and a buy it now price of $7400.

The '99 is two different colors which, to me, implies that it's been in an accident. Plus, it looks like a true beater.

The third RS is in Ontario, Canadia. Heavily modded, Japanese guages (meaning the kph are prominent over the mph), and did I mention it's in Canadia?

The last is a wagon. :D

how about that one? i was toying with the idea of buying it... it's my buddies GC8. JDM STi-look-alike. Even has an STi carbon fiber dash. Wing, lowered suspension (STi i believe), JDM STi seats, STi Shift knob, Gague pod, 5 speed, borla headers, 3" axleback.

trick is getting him to sell it. he sorta wants to but he sorta wants to keep it too lol. if you are seriously interested i'll talk to him about it

That '99 is not at ALL worth 2,000! Did you get a look at the air vents in the console (or lack thereof)!?

I like the blue '00!

Yeah I caught that. Definitely steer away from that one.

But I did notice a new auction for another '99 RS popped up in Springfield Missouri.
It appears to be well kept, 93652mi, black, no (crap just spilled Red Bull on my shirt) umm oh, no glaring problems from what I can tell, and the bidding is started at $1000 no reserve.

Sweet! I like that one too. It appears to be in great shape. I paid 8.300 a year ago for mine, but that was minus the foglamps and with 116k on it. And the rest of the mechanicals weren't in the best of condition.
