A friend of mine is trying to sell his wheels with tires (good amount of tread left on them).

Here's a pic of the wheel model (not the actual wheels for sale - just something I found on the internet to give you an idea of what they look like)

All four wheels with tires for $700.00. Wheels are off a 2002 WRX.

I'll get more info and try to get pictures soon.

That's how I understand it as well.

so what did you find out? any pix of the actual wheels/tires?

Plans didn't evolve the way I expected them to so I won't get to pick up the wheels / tires until this evening. Then I can take a few photos and post them up tonight.

If you come to the meet on thursday bring one wheel with you and we can see if it fits over the brembos. If so, then consider them sold!

We can figure out a way to swap cash and merchandise later.

There's a guy selling a set of grey 17x7 Superleggas with tires up in MD for $500. I'm thinking I might grab those.

(Unless your friend would be willing to drop down in price a bit)

i don't think those 17x7's are going to clear the brembos. i tried once and had no dice.

I picked up the wheels and managed to snap some pics. The haven't been used in about a year so they're a little dirty. I didn't see any damage, but there are smudges on the wheels. Looks like they can be cleaned up.

I was wrong about the tires - they're Pirelli P7000 SuperSports but they do have a good amount of tread left.

I'm not sure how to measure the width of the wheel with the tire already in place. But here's an attempt (I think they might be 17x8):


A think he'd be willing to come down on the price. We'll see if they fit first, right?

I found info that confirms that the 17 x 7 deffinately WON'T fit over the Brembos.
Unfortunately, the 17 x 8 may be problematic for me as well.
I have been warned that 8" wheels may rub on a lowered wagon.

I'll check the stamping on the side of the wheel when I get home just to be certain.

Having trouble getting the pic onto my PC, but the stamping says it's 17x7.

Unfortunately the 17 x 7 won't fit over the Brembos so I have to pass.

I'm looking for 17x8, sorry. but they are nice wheels and gold looks great on most every color Scooby.

if i didnt already have my prodrives i'd be interested..but...well...
