I have maybe travelled over that bridge 10 times in the 27 years I have lived in NoVa...not really missing it. :wink:

They should have at least had some rock music or theme from the movie "2001: a space oddyssey" before it when kablooie...then finish it off w/ some nice fireworks. :lol:

Yeah, huge waste of time. I was at the waterfront townhomes at Franklin St. at the edge of Jones Pt. Park, but you couldn't see anything through the trees (the only part over land being demolished). We kept wanting to go back to Washington St. over by the cemetery for a better view. Should have, because trespassers through the fence delayed the blastoff for 1/2 hr. :x
