Not sure about the battery. I saw that and it looks like it's a clutchless manual of some sort? They didn't really go into detail there. I could live w/ a little frunk.

I'm guessing it's going to be closer to $30K or higher. Their target demographic is the SoCal crowd driving Priuses right now so they can feel good about themselves. These should have quite a bit more power and no emissions or fossil fuel use. Anyone else thinking it looks like an Elise from the rear, but w/ good touches of a Solstice thrown in? I'm saving my pennies, it'll be at least a year till it comes to this area.

yes, i was thinking it was like a blind mans interpertaion of an elise. still.... if its ~30K thats not to bad at all. I mean an electric car that can carve up the roads on your commute...uh.. assuming its not 495 that is, lol.

I wonder how long the batteries hold a charge, i mean could you track the car?

I don't know how their 250 mi. estimate translates to track driving, but they do toss in the regenerative braking too, so that would help. Oh, and there is some kind of trunk, since they include a travel charger in it.

I wonder how the SCCA will class it? 248hp, RWD, 2 door roadster, not sure about weight though.

I honestly started laughing when you guys mentioned the $30k price. I figured at least double that, and it looks like I didn't overbid. looks like they nicked a lot of the look from the Elise (another overpriced car).

glad people are working on the problem but I'll be over here with my "dinosaur bones" powered WRX for the foreseeable future...

I'm just imagining the amount of spin they are doing with this... 250 miles per tank... i'd love to see some power consumption numbers for normal acceleration and gee-this-is-a-4-second-0-to-60 accelaration. My guess is that if any of us drove this thing like we drive our cars now, we'd see something like half of that 250...

Ya, I'd like to see how much my electricity bill would go up with this thing. Even with 125mi range, that's enough for me to get to work and back with a few errands along the way. If my electric bill went up more than my gas bill went down though, I don't know that I would see the point in this... other than shifting the polution from my own car to the electric plant.

after looking over this again, i am seriously in lust... wow. cool idea. like the electric atom. wonder how much it is going to be...
