Blitz turbo timer

hey guys, i just installed my turbo timer just yesterday, but i must've tapped the wrong vacuum line cuz the boost gauge built in to the TT isn't reading jack =// i tapped a black hose right off on top of the air intake tube. It was a perfect fit for the "T" connector but it doesnt read any kind of vacuum. help?
