I know the difference between mechanical and electrical boost gauges, I'm curious as to which one is "better." I already have a T installed for a mechanical gauge, should I stick with a mech gauge? thoughts?

I'd stick with the mechnical one. Why put yourself through the extra work for something that is going to function the same anyway?

Electric is neat if you have other electric gizmos and want to log runs, but if you are not going to go for that, then the extra expense and hassle is not worth if for me.
