I know will has one, but I'm looking to barrow an AP to see if it can resolve some of my EM issues. if you would not mind me marrying it to my car for a day or so that would be great!!
i would compensate you as well.
thanks!!

BTW, I still want to borrow your UTEC at some point so I can pass emissions

I know I have one but a) it is happily married to my ecu and b) I am running an '04 STi ecu which won't work w/ your '05. Sorry. Good luck.

I don't think my '04 WRX AP will work with you're '05 STi. nice try though.

runs 100% fine for the street. Its the track where i have a problem... same thing.. 100 to 120 I'm overboosting. It rises to 1.5 bar and falls to 1.1 bar, but what really gets me is I'm throwing a CEL P0244 (overboosting)... EVERY session i get the CEL, i just said Fook it and ran with a CEL.

I spoke with dead bolt about it and they say doing that will lead to the turbo houseing cracking

That is VERY strange to hear since there are ALOT of people that have done it. You know we could probably do a light port/polish at the house.

Of course they say this, because they have this newer, shinier, bigger, turbo sitting on the shelf they want to sell you.

have you tried a different boost controller yet?

have you tried giving me your car yet?

i thought you just wanted the tranny?

Well, if Gabe want the tranny, I get the engine... I'd love to play with an engine and then do a quick swap
BTW, the boost controller is a great suggestion. I REALLY like my Eboost2.

you must have me confused with somebody else, I'm
not interested in trannys.
I do covet the STi 6-speed Transmission, however...

i think i had left that dangerously ambiguous intentionally...
thank you for clearing that up.
holy carp! was that eboost2 thing really that expensive?!? just googled it.

^^^ I think I paid ?250? for mine. Might have been less... It was used, but works like it was new. The thing is NICE... I'll show it to you when we go for our ride to try out the SZ55.

whoa, whoa, whoa meeester... i am NOT down with the swordfighting.
but yes, i would like to take a look at your
boost controller when i get a chance to take a ride in your
car with the upgraded turbo.
(needed clarity)

yea, i was thinking about another boost controler, but no one can seem to answer all my questions about if it will actually help the boost spiking. I mean I'm sure it will.. but I dont know what I'm talking about most of the time

The hard answers:
A boost controller will help control your boost better than a MBC. They can be a little difficult to setup initially, but afterwards they are great.
Even the best boost controller cannot help you if you are flowing more air at your peak boost than the waste gate can control. If your WG is too small, there is NO boost controller that will help you once you hit a certain point as it just cannot flow out enough exhaust to prevent boost creep.

This is very true, but turning the MBC down yeilded lower boost. Granted i peaked at 1.5... but it lowered to 1.1 (where it should be). This lead me to beleive that the WG was just not opening soon enough.
what do you think? sound logical?

That peak was just boost creep then and your true setting was that 1.1. Look at it like an engineer!!!!! If you have a hole with a certain cross-sectional area A, it can only flow <insert Burnulli equation>/min. Since you are flowing so much, the WG cannot flow enough to escape the gases to keep the boost under control.
CN: Boost creep = bad. No boost controller can fix it if you are flowing too much. Porting is the only fix.
