It just seems odd to me to have a seperate "OS" from my local OS, even if it is only providing applications.

yea, it's totally weird... and they don't tunnel all applications through a single port either... separate connections for im, apps, bla bla bla.

not too impressed so far. neat idea though. kinda like a remote x session or something.

I was a little disappointed about this too.......

Are they using the standard ports for the apps that are in use? Would be a nice way to circumvent IM blocks *and* keep some info straight while stuck in the office during the day. Got some personal email running, IM, and some calendar coordination for evening activities running while work stuff is running in its own space. Kinda interesting.

Hehehehe.....hey man. At the risk of running a foul I can say that life is getting back into a certain sense of normalcy. Job situation is stabilized so the brain is far less occupied with the whole panic and whatnot. 'Tis good stuffs now I think. Plus, on top of everything else I was the best man at my best friend's wedding last week (in Texas) and had a whole bunch of stuff to take care of on that end as well. But, mission accomplished there too. Event went off really well and they're well on their way to happy wedded bliss.....or something like that.

Anyway - yeah - the elusive Osiros should be around the boards a little more often.

Glad to see you back Eric How did the little womans surgery go? I hope all went well and I'm glad things are somewhat "back to normal" Colin, Jason and I have had no such luxury recently

As for goowy assisting with non work related activities at said work - oh well...was a fun thought while it lasted. Adding goowy.com to the spam filter on teh mail.

Many thanks man. Stephanie's surgery was successful from everything we're seeing so far. She's doing the whole physical therapy thing which is helping a lot too. It seems like she's making a little improvement each day in terms of range of motion and such. (Side note: she's sitting right next to me right now and says hi to all. Hmmm....shoulder surgery as a way to not have to type anymore.....I may have to look into this myself.)

add a hearty "helloooo" to her from ye ol' chicken n waffles as well. we were all starting to wonder if you guys eloped, or uprooted to siberia, or joined a traveling band, or...

well at least i know the truth - that you're both deep into a grueling physical and mental training regimen as you prepare to fight off the impending attacks from barbarian hordes with your super bonus ninja abilities. right?

As for the training regimen - not at liberty to discuss any attacks that may or may not be impending. Of course, if you wanted to start sharpening the women and hiding the pitchforks to make ready for anything coming down the trail - well....who would I be to stop you?

Hehehehe.....Stephanook is her Siberian name. Sadly, the baby seal was the pet.
