Kartboy SS install

Well much thanks to Ben, I finally got the short shifter installed. After driving around for a little I have some impressions.

The shifter takes more effort to manuver through the gears. I think I'll get used to this. But it is not as magical as the Miata's shifter.

The gates are much more clearly defined now. This part I love.

Overall I'd give it a 4 out of 5. Pleased, but not perfect.

Which bushings are you talking about? The two that go in the shifter itself at the pivot point above the ball inside the car, or the two at the other end of the action rod under the car?

Colin, take mine out sometime and see if you notice the difference :) I have all of the bushings installed except for the 4 that are right next to the tranny... which you would have to remove the tranny to get to!
