I am guessing you want some used wheels...otherwise I would check out
www.subydude.com which is where I got my Rotas...or you can look for subydude selling wheels on ebay for cheaper. Search under "subaru wheels" or "Sti wheels"
These would look pretty beast on your car, except they are 18s:

^^^ Yep, I checked out alot of Subydude's stuff, but I was REALLY hoping for forged wheels (ya, I know... I just shot myself in the foot for the $$$!).
Colin: I'm sure I could help ya with the gold tires... just give me a spray can and 5 minutes with your car

HELLO! I've been looking at a pair on NABISCO. The are silver (blah) and have some minor marks, but they do include tires for 1400. Total from tirerack without tires is $1,557.48 incl. shipping...
Why the hell do all the cool wheels have to be SO damn expensive?!?!? Oh ya, it's b/c they are cool....

Your kinda stuck. Wheels can come light, strong and cheap. But you can only have two of those qualities at the same time.
Maybe the OZ Ultraleggera Gold 17" x 8" @ 17 lbs (which is pretty light) for $239 each which is under $1k.
Still one of my favorite wheels is the Rota SDR (it's the one on my wagon) $150-160 each (just about everywhere) and only 17.4lbs.
It really is hard to beat anything Rota makes. They are pretty light and strong (The only wheel I've ever heard of that broke was a early "battle" and supposedly Rota admitted that the earlier battles were flawed and claimed to have fixed the issue). I also really like the G-Force, Boost, Rev or Slipstream.
If your trying to get down to sub 15 lbs for less than $400 a wheel, lots of luck. You may want to look and see if there are any Velox wheels that fit your specs.

You may want to look into some Enkei RPF1s. They are about $230 and very light at 15 lbs for 17"s. just don't know about width and fitment. They fit around EVO brembos, so I figure STIs wouldn't be an issue.

I just looked it up, they come in 17x8, 45 offset, 5 x 100 and weigh 15.6 lbs. The 17x8.5 only come in the 5 x 114.3
Thanks for the suggestions!!!!
