Trouble With Mexico Vids?

Is anyone else having trouble with the AVIs for the Mexico rally? I can download them fine but my Windows Media Player crashes each time I try to play the files.
And before the Mac-o-philes start clucking ... Winamp and Divx Player both crashed as well.

NP w/ days 1 and 2 so far in Media Player Classic in XP. Watching 3 now.

Downloaded and installed VLC player - files seem to like that. But why not any other media player? Strange.

I had trouble with the Rally Sweden videos, but haven't tried to download the new ones yet.

using mplayer here, no issues.

They play well on my laptop using MPlayer2 as well.

What's strange is that they run on my work PC using WMP.
Maybe I have some conflicting codecs at home?
