get my tires They will make any slow car past IE: saturns and VDubs.
lol
joking aside, you would be supprised how well some people do. The trick is to get the feel for the course and when you do, ATTACK. Well thats my strategy, and its been pretty good so far.
Now that I upgraded the suspension in the STI, I should do better. Suspension helps, but tires really make the difference.

There's no reason why you can't at least try an event or 2 this year. It's a lot of fun and a low cost, low risk form of racing. And if you don't have a lot of mods, you could be in a more competitive class too.Mr Kleen wrote:no, Betty would rock. I'd still be an autoX n00b.
and I haven't purchased anything yet...

Mr Kleen wrote:yeah I'm going to try some small events, I just don't think I need to be on the "team." save the space for the more experienced/participating AutoX drivers in the club.
But you could just participate on the team for an event or two. So far I've only seen 2 people mention any interest in participating in this thread.spazegun2213 wrote:Breaking news!!!
Teams: 1 per club!!
The reason for this is that there are 10 scored events, each need 4 Drivers!!! Rosters can be edited as much as you want allowing upto 40 drivers per team!!!
Not sure how that will affect prize distribution......

I doubt I'll be entering. With my mods, I'll be in the street prepared class and the car is definitely not setup to do that yet! Are all of the details worked out? Sounds kind of like it. If so, I'll post up an official post to get the team together

I think we should do this. Invite can go to Julian, thats cool. We can certainly come up with enough drivers. As far as another weekday class, happy to try and pull it together, but my guess is we'll want to wait until April or so when folks can put summer tires back on.

Its 80% scheduled I'm still awaiting some emails from some other clubs. As soon as its 100% finalized I'll email the invitations (with all the paperwork) out to the teams.

Sounds good, just let me know Ross.
If anyone has a bone stock STI/WRX, I'd be more than willing to drive that I've seen/ridden in some of the Street Prepared cars... I hold no ground next to them. Just a fact

If any of you guys have modded your bumpers for your ICs, you may be looking at being in a Prepared class.spazegun2213 wrote:wow, there is that little part of me that hopes you are not jokingcaptinmorgan97 wrote:Yeah, I decided to stay with IHI turbo's.
