NASA looking for web editor/photographer

Post by zaxrex »

So, NASA's Image of the Day.
Out of focus and/or low rez and cropped by a drunken monkey.
No offense to libation enjoying primates out there...but shouldn't there be some kind of editorial approval process here?

Size is better on my screen, but yea, its not a great image.

If you go to the original and check the exif data its at 300mm F/4, so the depth of field is too short (the patches are in focus but his hands aren't), its at 1/250s but his head is motion blurrred, and ISO 3200 but +0.7 exposure... only way I can explain all that is auto mode.

Or an inebriated simian.

Bad web design! It should resize that photo with screen size...

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.
