DCAWD Meet - Thursday 2/16/06 HT's

Post by Mr Kleen »

Hello all,
The next meeting of DC All Wheel Drive (the BIRFDAZE meet 8)) will be on Thursday, February 16th at 7:15pm. We will be meeting outside for a little while, then going inside to grab some grub! While we are outside, please stay out of the right of ways. No standing in the road and such, just stay in between or in front of the cars Smile If hoods open, only leave them open long enough to do you business.

Hard Times is located at:
6362 Springfield Plaza
Springfield, Virginia 22150
(703) 913-5600

Link to map: - here -

Most up to date information found in our forum here.

Let me know if you are coming so that we can try to keep an accurate count.

PLEASE keep things reasonable coming into the parking lot. Take care all and I hope to see you there!

Note: This is an AWD, we meet no matter what Mother Nature throws at us! Even if you do not have a AWD car, feel free to come!

use the term "infront" and nobody bats an eye, but copy/paste the wrong date in a post and suddenly you're the bad guy.

post look better now? (yet more evidence why I should not be trusted with power of any sort, even at the local/club level)

Count me in.

Just wanted to thank everyone who participated in the raffle for the Autometer dual gauge pod on 2/1/06 at Dave & Busters. Congratulations to Stephanie, the lucky winner.

At the Feb. 16 Springfield "Birthday" meet at Hard Times, I will be holding another raffle for a K&N Typhoon Air Intake w/ heat shield ($279 value). Will fit the '04-'06 Subaru Impreza WRX/STI (please check fitment for other makes and models). This unit was used as a demo for about 400 miles & comes with a factory warranty. There will also be small runner-up gifts, as well (car wash, wax, glass cleaner, etc.). Cost per entry is $2. Enter as many times as you would like. All are welcome to participate. Good luck!

I got a look at it on the way to Hard Times after the auto show, but would like to check it out a little closer sometime. did you have to give up the back seat? I would love to install a harness bar but in order to keep my seat in the position I want the bar would pretty much make the back seat useless to adults.

I should be able to make it out to this one.
Oh, and I have all 7 seasons of Top Gear now, so if I can get requests, I'll start burning now and have lots to bring next week. :)

OK, if you want all of the seasons, I think it is about 10 DVDs. It is 1 season per DVD till season 4 when the size of each episode doubled.

I would love all 10 seasons, but that's a lot of work for you. I can certainly understand if you don't want to put in that kind of time and effort.

I can certainly give you 10 blank DVD-Rs to defer the material cost.
let me know if you also want something for your time as well (a beer or some chili perhaps?)

If I start tonight or tomorrow, it's not too bad. Burn a disk while chainmailling, start another, and so on.... I'll probably be in most of the weekend working on this corset and if we get the predicted snow.....

I'm not a beer drinker, but I might say yes to chili or an Irish coffee. :)
