Asus ZenFone?

Anyone have hands on with these? Maybe I'm getting old and cheap (ok, cheaper), but I'm finding it really hard to stomach $600+ every other year. If I could put the Nexus load on it it'd be a no brainer, but I'm less excited about CM.

Looks like they preferred the S6. Any reason not to go with it?

ZenPhones are $200-$300 depending on storage, about the pricepoint that the Nexus devices used to be. I'll check back on that review in awhile, looks like they're intending to update it with the ZenPhone.

If for no other reason than the "is that a Pet in your pocket or are you just a pervert?" jokes.

That ZenFone is a gorgeous looking piece of hardware! I wonder how good an Atom processor will be with Android?

If this year's Nexus phone is Huawei I won't be buying one.

I'd say it's 90% likely at this point. Oh well.

I almost preordered it last night. Problem is D's phone is in way worse condition than mine, and mine is less than a year old, so its a bit silly... sigh. I'll probably get it in a couple months. But yeah, looking good. I was hoping they'd push forward a bit more, they're never really on the cutting edge of android hardware, close, but always slightly back.
