Beer!

Ok, couple meets ago we started talking about everyone's favorite, beer! Post up stuff about local places to drink, locally brewed stuff, etc.
I went to the Catoctin Creek Distillery in Purcellville recently. It's not a long drive, cute town too. I did the tour and the regular whiskey flight (actually rye whiskey (aged and unaged) and gin) and a brandy flight (pear, peach and something else). I'm not a whiskey connoisseur but I thought it was worth checking out. http://catoctincreekdistilling.com/Sabre wrote:I wish I was in to beer as much as I love whiskey.
their roundstone rye is the single best rye under $75 imho. i smuggle a bottle home (or have really awesome friends that do when they visit!) every chance i get. i can't possibly recommend it enough if you like a smooth, complex rye.Blixa wrote:

That rye makes bourbon taste like an appletini. Super strong stuff. I left the distillery with a carpet of chest hair.complacent wrote:their roundstone rye is the single best rye under $75 imho. i smuggle a bottle home (or have really awesome friends that do when they visit!) every chance i get. i can't possibly recommend it enough if you like a smooth, complex rye.Blixa wrote:
