It only costs $6,800.

It gets 84 miles to the gallon on the highway.

Power in Numbers:
An inline, 3 cylinder, 1 liter, 70 HP, fuel-injected, DOHC gas-powered, liquid-cooled, automotive engine.

Transmission:
5-speed manual or automatic. And yes, it has a reverse gear.

Fast Facts:
Top speed is in excess of 100 MPH and 0-60 speed is under 9.6 seconds. Great Traction

Each Elio comes equipped with a Safety Management System that includes three airbags – a reinforced roll-cage frame, Anti-Lock Braking System, and 50% larger crush zones than similar vehicles. Preliminary safety tests on computer models anticipate a 5-Star safety rating.

The engine is in the front and it is a front-wheel-drive vehicle. So, with a low center of gravity and weight towards the front, you’ll get great traction action – even in the snow.
You Deserve a Big Brake

Equipment:
A/C, AM/FM radio, heater, defrost, the three airbags, power windows and door lock, seat belts, tempered glass, and windshield wiper at no extra cost.

This part of the line scares me...

They consider it's a plus that they are no cost items?!?!

Neat concept. I want to see one get hit by a semi before I buy (5 start crash rating or not)

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

I don't know if the center of gravity is low enough for me.
Accelerate AND turn + stiff cross-wind?
Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears

Wouldn't matter if it gets 8000 miles to the gallon. If it turns into confetti when struck, I can't use that extra money in the afterlife.

so why do people drive motorcycles? How many survive after getting hit by a trailer truck?

Just saying if this is considered a motorcycle then it would be safer than your ordinary one.

That's the main reason why I never got into bikes.

I would consider using it for my back road (single lane) commute.
