propeller shaft and bearing assembly
Mine bearing doth protest.
Sadly, the replacement part comes with a propshaft attached to it. Best I could find new was $550.
I thought a few recommendations had been thrown out for salvage/junk yards. Anybody care to remind me of them?
Or I could get a jump on the 818 project and just 2WD it...

Re: propeller shaft and bearing assembly
You just looking for a wheel bearing? lol, those can be had for $40ish, but they need to be pressed in.

Re: propeller shaft and bearing assembly
Guys (and girls, if you are reading), this is not a wheel bearing, that got taken care of.
This is the propshaft (driveshaft) between the transfer case extension and the rear axle. It has three attachment points, one to the trans, one to the rear diff, and then a bearing/yoke that bolts to the frame.
I don't know if the bearing is pressed or welded onto the shaft, but you can't buy the bearing alone. And if it were pressed, I don't know if I would trust one that has been pulled off and then pressed back onto a different pipe. At that point it would just be easier to replace the whole damned thing... with carbon fiber at twice the cost and get rid of the bearing

Glad to hear you were able to find what you needed and cheaply.
I have always maintained that we must appease the Greek god of transportation Vehicles.
I sacrifice 4 quarts of oil every 3,000 miles or so.
It doesn't always work, but those Greek gods are a fickle bunch.
