On Friday BMW announced the release of the 2013 BMW 760Li V-12 25 Years Anniversary Edition and now only a few days later the limited-edition model is sold out. Priced at $159,695, the "V-12 25 Years Edition" BMW 760Li, the limited-edition 7 Series gets BMW Individual Champagne Full Merino Leather with black piping. The black floor mats and rear footrests are also complimented by contrasting piping in Champagne. The door sills, headrests and iDrive controllers are all specially badged.

It also gets:
-Rear Seat Entertainment with iDrive control
-20' Individual wheel style 301 with performance tires
-Alcantara headliner in champagne (sides of headliner in black)
-A/B/C pillars in black leather
-Rear parcel shelf in Anthracite Alcantara
-BMW Individual Piano Black Wood trim
-Piano black wood inlay in steering wheel
-Shadowline exterior trim

The 2013 760Li is powered by a 6.0-liter Twin Turbo V12, with 535 horsepower and 550 lb. ft of torque. It reaches 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds and a limited top speed of 130 mph (155 mph with the M Sport Package option).

BMW only plans on producing 15 units of the 2013 BMW 760Li V-12 25 Years Anniversary Edition for U.S. consumption.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

The problem with the 760i is the 750i.
The current 650i (same engine but slightly less weight than the 750i) with 445 bhp, 480 lb-ft and 4233 lbs. hits 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and 100 mph in 10.4 clicks and covers a quarter-mile in 12.9 seconds at 112 mph. While the 750i weighs 4475 lbs. (just over 200 lbs more) I suspect the numbers would match the 650, as well as the 760 or be as near as makes no difference.

And again, what does the 760 cost? $159,695
The 750: $87,195
Yes, you read that right, an extra $72,500!
More than the cost of a new M3, or a 650i.

If you ever see anyone in a 760i you know one thing for sure.

Because V12.

(I'd rather have a 550i with the 6-speed manual + cash)

of course they're sold out...

wow that's a lot of discretionary coin doled out for a sub-par choice in its segment.

more power to the owners though, i'd love to have more money than brains - in this particular instance

...but I agree

Actually I'd just have a 1 or 3 series with the new 2.0 turbo and a manual.
