You are so right. I keep forgetting to grab one.
Is Primitive still the only game in town?

if you do spring for the primitive, spring for the stinger option, the thicker plate as well as skipping any holes for the oil filter.

Why you say no holes? I thought holes good!

Not in the skid plates. I have the holes and never use them. Too tight for me to change the oil from. Besides, they could get caught on a rock instead of sliding over it.

i've read multiple complaints about the holes. unless your vehicle is on a perfectly flat surface, the hole for the oil filter is too tight. it'll clear the filter itself, but not the filter, your hand and the stream of piping hot oil that refuses to drain just through the hole.

it's four bolts and takes me about a minute on a bad day. well worth the headache for me. ymmv.

It's a bit of a pain to put back on if you need the spacers but managable. I always wanted to have the spacers spot welded on but never got around to doing it. JB Weld would probably work too.

The spacers are welded on if you tell them to give you the "aftermarket header" option :)

Excellent points. The spacers are a nice touch that I will likely go with, despite not having headers . . . yet.
I will probably add this within the upcoming year.
Probably won't get to it before then.
