So, I have to buy three Apple iPads for work.
Great, get on apple.com to start the process. Apple.com does not load.
Other network abilities are up, so I turn off my phone's WiFi and go over mobile data network.
Still nothing.
So I call the apple store and ask to get a quote sent to my e-mail.
E-mail from apple arrives TELLING ME TO LOG INTO THEIR SITE TO VIEW MY CART. Click on the link, and surprise, nothing loads.
Call back the sales number and get transfered to technical support. Technical support can't help me because I don't have an Apple product. Kicks me back to sales.
Talk with sales who tells me to to take my order number to BANK of AMERICA and they would provide me the quote requested!

Seriously, she told me to "go into your local bank and have the teller bring up the information for that saved order number".
Apple-Bong hits? That is the only thing I could think of that would make someone say that.

Why not just take a break and go to a brick and mortar store?

BTW, apple.com loads just fine here and on my cell (4S on AT&T)

Stores don't give quotes. I need to have purchasing buy them, but can't trust them to order the right config, hence the quote.

As for the technical issues, I have to wait's til it is in person...

Why not just drive up the street to the Apple store in Clarendon?

As a side benefit, it's usually jam-packed with primo box.

If I buy on my own, I will not get reimbursed since it didn't have a quote that could be approved before sale.

I did, and got new a nice 50 gb DropBox account.
But work still needs pads.

I guess I'm not following.
I understand needing the iPads.
I understand getting the quotes.
I understand getting the link in the e-mail and the site not loading.
No chance of fowarding the link to someone who could save the page as a pdf and send it back to you for the "quote"?
I assume the purchasing dept. has to make the order? Do they need more than a quote # or conformation #?
One thing I have found is that no two organizations or departments handle purchasing the same way. Even in government.
