And here I thought diesel engines were supposed to be simple and low maintenance.
Still wouldn't mind having one though.

There are no words for this level of complexity.
All my cars have drum brakes and are sub 200 hp, what am I doing with my life?

I suspect tuning it may not be as difficult as diagnosing an issue when it is not performing correctly.
