Sounds like they made a lot if improvements! One of my friends has a CR-Z and he was always complaining about how slow it was. This would certainly help!Following the initial unveiling at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011, Honda's UK division has announced plans to produce the CR-Z Mugen RR, which is now being referred to as the CR-Z iCF.
The CR-Z iCF is powered by a modified version of the CR-Z's 1.5L hybrid setup. The CRZ-iCF gets a supercharger, new induction system and Mugen ECU. Thanks to these upgrades the CR-Z iCF has almost 50 percent more power than the standard CR-Z at 173 horsepower. Honda claims that it will reach 0-62 mph in 6.1 seconds, which is three seconds faster than the standard CR-Z.
Martin Moll, Head of Honda (UK) marketing said, "MUGEN Euro magic has created a super responsive yet eco-conscious model building on our sporting credentials and giving us the ability to compete in the "hot hatch" marketplace as we move into 2012."
The CR-Z iCF will be available in the UK in the spring with pricing starting at £24,000. Sadly Honda has no plans to offer this hotter CR-Z in any other markets.
