Hmm, Impreza to get larger and more fuel efficient, while the "sportier" models are allowed to get more sportier-er.

I think I'm going to like it.

Maybe this will allow the BRZ to grow a turbo.
And some skin.

I kinda saw this coming.
There had been intimations that this was going to happen back when the latest Impreza was being developed. When the WRX/STi versions wer said to be two years away I began to wonder if this was going to come to pass.

If it makes the WRX/STI a better performance car, I'm all for it.

Gone will be the days when insurance companies quote you for a "20XX Subaru Impreza".
I got 5 years of gloriously low rates out of that...

ehh. I compared the rates for a 2004 STI and a 2005 Legacy GT and the STI was 6x the cost. I noticed rates on my '08 STI creeping up quite a bit in the three insurance renewals I had with it.

6x! My WRX and Forester are nearly identical to ensure.
I suspect the STi would be more than both. But 6x!

ehh.....maybe it was $4x. the LGT added $600/yr to my policy....the STI was $2400 (when I got the quote....the car had only been out one model year). USAA too...as cheap as it gets

Dude, I have to have a worse record than you, and USAA only upped my policy $320 for adding another WRX.

This was Nov 2004 so times and rates might have changed

Same time they were charging me non-wrx premiums. Guess I was just lucky.
