What do you think? Looks decent to me. Still some is speculation. Suppose to have paddle shifters or a 6 speed, wider track, harder suspension lighter, and slightly better Fuel economy. I also heard unconfirmed rumors that the hatch might be gone from the STI segment ( sadface). Maybe it will still be in the wrx version ?

I like it I'd love to see even wider flares over the wheels, but that is just nit picking.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

Re: 2012/13 STI Motortrend new rendering
Meh. I don't trust renderings. It's to early in the game to speculate what the next WRX/STI will look like. No one can even give a solid answer on when we will see it. 2012 as a 2013, 2013 as a 2014?
I cornered my regional rep yesterday like I always do and got the same bs answers I always get.
Diesels? Uhhhh.
Subyota? Huuuuh.
CVT in the Foz? Wuuuuh.
Release of WRX/STI? Uhhhh.

I have to wonder if it's because they don't know, or if they are just afraid that their family will be killed "by accident" if they say!

Come on guys, it's not like the WRX/STi has ever really changed the looks of the car. It's just the boring impreza with bigger wheels, wings, and maybe fenders with a hood scoop.sirwilliam wrote:This. x infinity!Mr Kleen wrote:This, this, a thousand times this...thermobox wrote:I don't trust renderings.

i personally think the 04/05 sti is light years hotter than a base rs of the same vintage. the newer models, not so much.Raven wrote: Come on guys, it's not like the WRX/STi has ever really changed the looks of the car. Meh. It's not that I don't trust the STi will resemble the 2012 Impreza. It's that I don't trust renderings. I have seen renderings for every car under the sun. Sometimes they are close and others are miles off.
This rendering doesn't really change much from the new Impreza. They put a badge, 08+ Impreza rims, goof ball wing and colored it close to WRB.
It's not enough for me. Subaru, among others are well known for not taking off the wraps until the vehicle is ready for release. We're gonna see quite a few mules lapping the ring before we see any car close to production.
Will it look like the new Impreza? Yes. Will it look like this rendering? Prolly not.
