*UPDATE: Official BMW documents have the 2012 M5 listed at 560 horsepower at 6,000 - 7,000 rpm and not the earlier, leaked 552. The M weighs in at 4,287 pounds.*

After months of spy shots, we've finally got official photos and information on the all-new F10 2012 BMW M5.

552 560 Horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 502 pound-feet of torque between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm from a twin-turbo V8 with a redline of 7,200 rpm. 7-Speed dual-clutch transmission. (Though we know they're testing a manual.) 0-60 comes up in 4.4 seconds-- last time we tested one it managed the task in 4.8, 4.5 with rollout. Tires, as we know, are 265/35ZR20 in front and 295/30ZR20 out back. We also know they're testing both Michelin Pilot Super Sport and Pirelli P-Zero tires.

We now have a full Gallery Post of all available images.

**Update 2: All of the official specs are out, data after the jump.**

Front suspension is a double-track control arm with M-specific elastokinematics, small, negative steering roll radius and anti-dive geometry while the rear is an integral-V multi-arm axle with M-Specific elastonikematics, spatial suspension with anti-squat and anti-dive geometry. The interior of the M5 feature bespoke M sport seats in "fine-grain Merino leather," iDrive, a 10.2 inch display screen and an exclusive Aluminum Trace intrerior.

Two M Buttons

For 2012, the BMW M5 gets not one, but two M Drive buttons on the left side of the wheel. This enables two pre-saved configurations of engine, transmission, damping and stability control to be saved. And not just for performance, the example given is that M1 can be the go fast race setting, while M2 is a comfort setting. MDM or DSC Off settings require secondary confirmation by the driver via iDrive once the M button is pressed. M-specific information like shift lights and rev counter show up on a full-color heads up display.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.
