Android: Connection Checker checks for crappy connections

I saw this over at Lifehacker.
Connection Checker will check your connection every few minutes to see if you have internet. If not, it will automatically turn that connection off. If you're on Wi-Fi, that means it'll switch you back over to a likely more reliable 3G or 4G connection, and turn Wi-Fi back on later to see if it's gotten any better.
I installed the pro version from XDA. We have a poor 3G connection at the house. So, I'll be curious to see what it does when I get in range of our router.

Very interesting! Wifi is much better on battery presumably, but cutting it off while it cannot be used should help a lot.

i bet that app is really popular with folks running cm7 on older hardware.

i remember seeing scripts that would reset the network devices after phone calls for that very reason.

crazy stuff.
