2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Official Details Released

Here are the official details for the revised 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.

Under the hood the the 6.3L V8 engine is unchanged and puts out 451 hp. If you want a little extra power you can add the optional AMG Development Package, which bumps up that number to 481 hp. The 6.3L V8 is now mated to the seven-speed AMG Speedshift. Also a new power steering pump that helps improve fuel economy by about ten percent.

On the outside, the revised C63 AMG gets a revised grille, lower apron and special AMG daytime running lights that recall those found on the SL63 AMG high-performance roadster. The rear of the C63 AMG gets a new AMG rear apron with a black diffuser insert with three pronounced fins.

The 2012 C63 AMG will hit U.S. dealerships this fall.

Hmm, they said "The 2012 C63 AMG will hit U.S. dealerships this fall.", so I assume we will be able to get it... I hope... although I could never afford it :(

the sedan will.

and, why couldn't you afford it? A C63 can be had for less than you've spent on your car over its lifetime :mrgreen:

lol, you said it right "over its lifetime" Much easier to do things piece-mill than at once... unless Merc would let me buy the engine, then the chassis... then the doors over time, haha.

well, sure, but a C63 can be had in the high $50k region. just don't order the whole option list.

hell, you could sell your car and make a nice downpayment....I assume by now its paid for. My payment is less than $100 more a month than my 2008 STI was.

lol, oh ya... I paid off BluBallz in 05 :) BTW, my payment was only $300/mo... so I'm guessing it would be twice that for a MB...
