Does anyone have a local place that will paint my stock sti wheels black?
I want a semi gloss nearly flat look.

Thanks.

Have you asked any of the local body shops (Wagenwerks, etc)? I would think they should be able to handle that as well.

a friend of mine back in Lexington had a set of wheels powdercoated and they looked great. obviously a shop name from KY isn't gonna help you here, but I would go the powdercoating route. spray paint is for stock WRX wheels, not STi wheels...

Don't you have to heat the powdercoat to bake the particles together? How hot does it get?

I called AMS and they don't recommend the powdercoating option, they say that it is too expensive and that it will not be good for the wheels.
Might bend in the future.

They say to just take it to a body shop and it might cost me like $100 per wheel.

I guess that is what I am gonna do.

Thanks guys.

How did the wheels turn out and what did it cost? I was thinking about doing the same thing in a gunmetal.
