For $20 it's probably worth grabbing the install kit for the walbro.
If you didn't get an oil line with the turbo absolutely, get it now.

Gruppe-s says they will ship me the 'adapter' for STIs for free.
I will order the fuel pump install kit.

Need to get the mounting bolts off the old hotside and on the new one.
Need to get proper pin for actuator arm it seems too

Looks good from the photos. Bring it to lunch thursday and I'll look it over.
Phibs wrote:Need to get the mounting bolts off the old hotside and on the new one.
To remove the studs all you do is screw a nut onto the stud and then another on top of the first, then rotate the bottom nut. The stud will back out of the housing. I can show you that on thursday too.

Did you damage it taking it off? It doesn't need a lot of force to keep it in place. You might want to take it to a harware or auto parts store.

No did not damage it but see the other fitting was for a clip type which they gave me, this one seems like it takes a pin ( has a hole through it vs the circuluar cutout )

Ah, a simple cotter pin should work then.

I think we'll need a group effort on this.
Turbo, headers, injectors and TMIC can be an all day affair.
Ideally we should have two people working below on the headers and removing the down-pipe. And two people working up-top on the turbo and injectors.
I'm happy to help with the turbo, headers and downpipe, but it would be my first set of STI injectors, so I'd really want someone there who has done them before.
Some deep well 12mm and 14mm sockets would be nice.
Sadly, that's one thing I don't have.
Do you have your 850cc injector MAP ready for upload and a tuner set-up yet?

Yep... without that map, there is no sense in doing any of it.

Did not grab headers actually. Will do that in the future if needed. I will email Jeff and the SHop that said they could provide a base map. Between the two of em I should be able to get one.

Shoot, I got you a set of headers right here. Even comes with an integrated up-pipe

Anyone know where I can get the Oil line adapter needed for the STI and an FP turbo? Mach5 did not seem to carry it and gruppe-s has not gotten back to me. I'd like to do the install some time this year so any help would be appreciated. ( The FP part is not required as it is overpriced IMHO, but I will
get it if no other parts exists that will satisfy the requirement)

You "may" not need it. Julian could chime in as to whether his required it or not. It looked like his used the stock oil intake line. However, while yours and his are basically the same (TD06-20G) there may be subtle differences. The oil intake line may be one of them. You would hate to be that far into the install and then not be able to finish.
Again, if you have a MAP ready for those injectors, the install could take place any saturday. Ideally, I'd want one if not two more people to help.

I can purchase the map for $50 from a shop in Philly as needed.

I'm not sure if his turbo would need it or not and I'd hate to say one way or the other and have it be wrong

The SZ55 doesn't need a new oil line though. Take that for FIW.

I will bring the Turbo tonight, maybe we can figure something out. I have also emailed FP.

I have a braided stainless oil line, but I do not know what size banjo bolt they need, nor if one can be had for the thread pitch of your center section.
Just ask DRWRX about stripped oil line bolt holes...

It was a topic of conversation at lunch.
I'll bring my 2 banjo bolts with me and see how they fit.
1 is stock 1 is not

This is what gruppe-s said:
Hi Bryan,
I looked into this and you can install the turbo without any additional
parts. The stock oil line just needs to be bent slightly to meet up with
the FP turbo's oil return port. The adapter is actually just a braided hose
replacement for the hard line. Sorry for not explaining this to you more
clearly.
Thanks
Max

From FP:
Bryan,
Our oil feed line is not an adapter kit, it is a complete replacement of the
stock oil feed line. You can reuse your stock oil feed line with our turbos,
however we do recommend purchasing our SS flexible oil feed line especially for
the 20g and larger turbos. Due to the larger physical size of the turbo, you
may have to do some bending of the stock hard line and when you do that you run
a high risk of creasing or cracking the stock hard line. Switching to our SS
flexible line just helps to ease the installation of the larger turbo. If you
have any other questions, please let us know.
Thank you,
Amber

Jeff said he will be in town from the 2nd to the 11th so I figure next weekend
would be a good opportunity. I have all the parts, is anyone free to guide/assist next weekend sometime?

I should be free this saturday. We'd need to start early. Any other takers? I'd like at least one more person, preferably someone who has done STi injectors before.
Make sure you've got Jeff nailed down on a day and time, I'd hate for you to have a car you can't drive after we do all that work.

Roger, coordinating with him via email. I'll keep the thread updated.
Thanks Darrin.
