But, if this is ok, I'll be doing this and more at my place on Saturday

Feel like coming down Darrin?

I think the Goodridge fit 2001 - 2004 WRX "and" STi, at least that was how it was explained to me.

Can do! Get me an address and let me know what I need to bring, floor jack, ramps (I have two sets now!), tools, ect. Is Colin in as well?

Whew, glad to hear that about the brake lines. I had actually just hit send when I saw your post, lol.
I have (aka, Zak's) a second set of ramps, so I think that we're good to go there. Definitely bring whatever else you think that we'll need though. I have tons of tools as does Zak, but since we'll be doing simultaneous installs, extra tools can never hurt.
Not sure about Colin, but I think so
I'll PM you my address

Now if only my freakin short shifter and bushings would show!
I can't believe it's taking THIS long to get here, I ordered them on the 1st of March!
I didn't order my brakelines and fluid until Tuesday and they already got here.

I got two hockey games Saturday, but I'l love to watch and maybe get my hands dirty when I can.
FYI, Al next door still has the jack stands.

!! Thanks for letting me know

Those might be useful this weekend!
You know I can use all the hands I can get, so if you have spare time, cool
Darrin: That sucks, who did you order it from? I ordered my Kartboy SS with TiC bushings last week and it came in earlier this week.

I ordered the shifter (megan racing $55 and comes with the STi shift knob) and cobb bushings $30 from Slowboy racing. They e-mailed me on the 2nd saying:
"To speed up shipping time, these items are being drop shipped directly from our suppliers to you."
Ummm what speed do you think he's speaking of?

Cancel the order and get the KartB with TiC

Woohoo!
Yes, the order is correct. Goodridge is a UK based company and the "new
age" EDM and JDM Imprezas were 2001 while we got it as a 2002 model
year. It does add some confusion to things sometimes. The proper part
number is 24215 for the U.S. 2004+ STi. If this is the part number on
the box then you have the correct hoses.

David Kearney

Did you feel as much a difference as everyone else? I love the brakes on my car, so I can't imagine what they will be like after this!
Posted: Thu Mar 09, 2006 9:33 pm
by drwrx
The big difference will be pedal feel; stiffer with very little fade.

Sounds good to me
BTW, a guy here at work recommended
this instead of speed bleeders. Just a FYI.

Not to worry, as long as you have someone to help, it won't be that hard.

I was planning for Sunday, Saturday is the Shamrock festival

Shamrock Festival? I don't think you can go to that until your accent improves.
Now repeat after me:
"Top of the morning to ya."
"That's a fine sack of potatoes you have there."
"Stop hitting over the head with that damned sheliegh of your's!"

Kyle, how are you brakes holding up? have you gotten them hot yet? I think the extra bleeding did the trick.
Darrin,
your 5sp shifter and bushings should take you no time at all.
Julian, I'm helping a friend bleed his brakes and install the TiC shifter bushing kit friday, I'll let you know how that goes so i can help you with yours.
