Okay. Fine.

Everyone seems to be missing my intent. I am not complaining that the rain is going to melt me. I simply am a little sore about the fact that I can't lean over as much as I'd like to when it's raining. I commute on the bike in almost any weather, save snow and ice. I was looking to have some fun after work. That is all.

We are down as maybes. Sandy is not working tonight, but if it's rainy I'm not so thrilled about driving up to Egypt.

...by way of ellipsis, Sandy has been working for ten days straight, and I only get to see her the half-hour in the morning when I take her to work, and the hour before she passes out in the evening after I pick her up. Today she's actually working at both the Clarendon store and the Pentagon City store, so she's going to be more exhausted than normal.

So that's her side. For my part, I don't especially like driving in Maryland to begin with, nor on the Beltway, and definitely not 270. Add rain and $3.10/gallon gasoline to that, and there's about the least fun I can imagine having in the car.

I was at tacos a week ago, and had fun. I'm also looking forward to the Vinny's meet, which is about a ten minute drive from me. This is why we have dual meets, n'est-ce pas?

That's the other reason we're maybes tonight. We are getting our motorcycle licenses in May. Tonight we're going to head over to the Suzuki place in Alexandria and figure out what our sizes are for leathers and helmets. We're also going to see if we can take an underbone out for a spin, to see if we would prefer that to a traditional bike (there's a SV650 in our future).

Ordinarily, I would "make room for" the meet, but as per my previous post, I haven't had a lot of time with my wife lately, much as I love DCAWD.

Feel free to ditch meetings on account of rain when I found DC1WD.
