UPDATE:

Well, I am still having trouble reading the CEL code "?????". Dan at MachV said that you can tune around the misfires from larger injectors and the CEL light can still come on...he said I should still be able to tune so that the lights don't come on.

My idle is still rough at 1000RPMs. Also, now when accelerating slowly, it gets jerky. I need to get this all straightened out...not acceptable at this point.

Might just buy the StreetTuner software and either try to reprogram w/ the injectors or put the stock injectors back in and tune for those.

If your planing on going to a larger turbo in the future (TD06 20G or larger) I would say grab a set of Helix 820cc injectors and tune for those. If you don't think you'll go larger than say a vf22 or TD05 16G than go back to stock. My guess is that if Hill couldn't get them to idle right and accelerate smoothly, then why spend $200 on software plus a huge amount of time and trouble that will likely net you the same results. Helix injectors go for about $460 (though you may find someone selling used for less) and my guess is that would solve your issues.

If you want me to attempt to pull the CEL with my tool before tuesday let me know. We can meet up somewhere.

If I get the StreetTuner I can fine tune it myself or have someone more knowledgable help me out. I always wanted to get into the tuning aspect. If I can't get the modifieds to work right, I will just throw in the stock injectors and retune for those. I will most likely be sticking w/ my VF39 for now. Maybe upgrade to a TD05H-18G, TD05H-20G, TD06-18G or TD06-20G later on...or maybe something else. We shall see. I need to get something that has quick spool to conteract the lag caused by the FMIC but also have some top end where it doesn't run out of steam. I would love a twin-scroll setup but that is $$$$ and more modifications.

Haha, that reminds me of the one pool scene from Caddyshack where the babyruth gets dropped in the pool. The one kid swimming comes right up to it and screams "DOODEE!". Well, I went back to Agile to get the tuned tweaked (or what I thought I would get the tune tweaked). They couldn't turn off the misfire codes/lights so I am stuck the lights and no cruise. They also keep blaming the injectors stating that they just put a large hole in the injectors and that it drips instead of the spray "Atomizing"? Hill stated that during the data logging on his laptop there were times where the 02 wouldn't register and he said that could be that the 02 is starting to go bad. Hill stated that another car they were working on ('05 STi) was having the same problems w/ the CEL lights. They replaced the 02 sensor and that fixed that. My car has 63K on the 02 sensor.

My question is this: should I get a new 02 sensor to see if it helps alleviate the problem?

In a word, yes! The O2 sensor would explain a LOT of your problems.

Although 63k is a bit early for an o2 sensor to die, it certainly wouldn't be the first time. They go for about $150 (you might be able to find cheaper if you hunt) and are not a difficult swap, if you have an o2 wrench.

I'm usually not one to "throw parts" at a problem, but that would likely remove one question mark, and it wouldn't be too much trouble to do.

I used ECUExplorer and have a buddy who is quite good at tuning with ECUFlash and datalogging ECUExplorer.....

Yeah, my buddy Frank recommended getting a slightly used one or buy some subby buxs for cheap to get a better deal on this expensive part. I am in search as we speak.

Well, I talked to Jackie at Annapolis and she gave me a heck of a deal (like usual) on a new sensor. It will arrive Monday. Who has an 02 removal/tightener tool?

you can find them on the cheap at either sears or any auto parts store. i think mine was like $10...

Okay, thanks. Should I get anything special in particular. Made of gold and diamond or is the generic one good enough? Probably just grab a craftsman.

nope, just your standard O2 sensor socket. You can also use a 3/4" flare-nut wrench. I tend to bring both tools with me when I'm removing a sensor.
