That was so awesome! I was out on the balcony at work. I saw it fly by the Capitol, and then it flew right over me. Amazing.

I'm not going to lie: when I watched the HD video of the landing I got a little choked up. To end the shuttle program with no successor is, in my mind, a huge disservice to the men and women who gave their lives to expand our boundaries.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Manufacturing was taken away from the US a long time ago, engineering is starting to be. What will we be left with after that in the world economy?
