Damn, I'm sorry to hear your car "luck" is following you :( I wonder if there was some kind of law suit against someone over there for installing tires that were the wrong size. LOL, I see cars around here with stretched tires all the time!

You all get any snow yet?

No snow yet but it's getting cold at night and summer tires don't like cold temps. If I'm involved in an accident in the winter and I don't have winter tires insurance doesn't have to cover it and I can be ticketed.

God, just thinking about those right of way blind intersections in the winter would be the death of me.

Get some grip quick

They were to be installed 2 weeks ago...

Tire dealers weren't able to locate winter tires that fit the stock wheels. (exact words: "You waited too long, I can't get that size any more.")
Now I'm down to buying a set of rims that will fit the Blizzaks I already have. Just want I didn't want to do... :|

Let me guess, now you have to buy and install new pressure sensor monitors for the new wheels.
Man, sounds like a turbo upgrade story to me...
Whatever will make you feel better, that is what I am thinking of for you.

I don't have to install the TPM sensors but I'm going to. Anything worth doing... This winter set should last a good 3 years since I'll be able to rotate them properly (same width front and rear) and the wheels I'm getting aren't bad looking. Next spring I'll be left with the decision of whether to buy new tires for the stock wheels or to upgrade like I really want and have 3 sets of wheels and tires, 2 of them with summer-only rubber.

If I were in the States I would sell the stock wheels. Apparently the wheels I got aren't the same as the normal US market 135 M-sport wheels. That or BMW is using a different wheel for 2012 models. At this point I only have a few message board threads to go off of.

Pay to play, pay to play... :drive:

No chance of finding a set of steelies for the winter tires?
You could get a set of ultra high performance all seasons for the stockers for the couple of months between fall and winter and winter and spring. I fear you will get no use out of the stokers once you buy some nicer wheels with some really sticky summer rubber.

Not sure they make an 18' steel wheel. Tire Rack had a nice set of alloy wheels for $125 each so I pulled the trigger.

I really want a set of mesh style wheels for summer use. The stock wheels don't look bad per say, but I just love the look of something like this.

Those would look really nice.

When I read mesh wheel, I was seriously thinking the type that I had on my Jeep:

I finally got the wheels and tires mounted! From just driving home and back to work today I can tell I'm going to love getting away from the runflats. Give me a jack and a spare any day...
