Re: The Next Factory Five Car
This thing will have one impressively long shift linkage.

All my cars have drum brakes and are sub 200 hp, what am I doing with my life?

I dunno, I only see two pedals
Good thing the trans shown is not a 4EAT.
You do bring up a very good point, is the linkage going to go under the intercooler, above it, or have a handfull of twists and turns to go around the engine?
Whatever the result, that thing is going to be stiff and numb.

Patience is the ability to idle your motor when you feel like stripping your gears

Ok, I am stumped. If the front is the new rear, what does torque steer do?zaxrex wrote:If it comes out having as much balance as and Exige, then it might be OK, but with that much power and a non-linear powerband, I see a lot of spinning wheel ahead.

It doesn't do anything on a RWD.

It kind of depends on the differential though, right?Mr Kleen wrote:It doesn't do anything on a RWD.

Re: The Next Factory Five Car
torque steer is when the power sent to the front attempts to straiten out the wheels while the driver is attempting to turn the wheels.

Actually, it's when the power causes the wheel to turn more. And that's on a smooth road. If the road is uneven the changes in tire contact patch cause almost seemingly random jerks at the wheel.Mr Kleen wrote:torque steer is when the power sent to the front attempts to straiten out the wheels while the driver is attempting to turn the wheels.
