Nice! Looks like the HP comes on quick too and stays.
Autoblog wrote:We've seen more spy shots of the upcoming Subaru Impreza WRX STi than we care to recount, but it looks like the first official image of Subie's road rocket has finally been leaked on the web. While there's been no confirmation from Subaru that this pic is the real deal, it has that official flavor that only press pics seem to have. Unfortunately, this particular pic is dark by nature and obscures many of the elements in which we're interested like the grille and lower front bumper. What we can see is gigantoid hood scoop, mega wide front fenders, and what appears to be a large rear wing out back. The official arrival of the Subaru Impreza WRX STi is imminent, as the debut will take place at the Tokyo Motor Show next month. Suburu will likely release its full batch of official images and specifications before then. Until then, chew on this.
that's not the sti body. that's a wrx.midnit wrote:pics n stuff
no shit? I thought the STI came out in a 5door hatch as well?chicken n waffles wrote:that's not the sti body. that's a wrx.midnit wrote:pics n stuff

Yeah that part intrigued me as well!Sabre wrote:Damn, she's a fatty(3395 lbs)!
But what does make me drool:

18 x 8.5-inch wheels as standard
it does, but that's definitely a wrx. the lack of flared fenders is a dead giveaway.midnit wrote:no shit? I thought the STI came out in a 5door hatch as well?chicken n waffles wrote:that's not the sti body. that's a wrx.midnit wrote:pics n stuff
Amen brother! When the tuning world get's it's hands on this (once the tuning software can crack the new ECU that is) you will see some HUGE power increases!Sabre wrote:But what does make me drool:

I hate to say this... but the Hydra has additional inputs (both digital and analog) as well as outputs... so controlling the additional AVCS solenoids won't be a problemdrwrx wrote:Amen brother! But can it handle OBDII emissions checks?Sabre wrote:I hate to say this... but the Hydra has additional inputs (both digital and analog) as well as outputs... so controlling the additional AVCS solenoids won't be a problem
Unfortunately, you still will have to spend some time doing some actual tuning to make sure the car runs and idles correctly, even off boost, so you can get it to and from the inspection station, and so they don't fail it for other reasons (visible smoke, audible misfires, etc.)Sabre wrote:BTW, I plan on flashing my stock ECU so I can run with it up to the emissions stations when I need to. Enginuity has made my life much easier.
No wayz yo! You gets teh mad FnF points for da flames!Phibs wrote:You mean fire coming out of the exhaust is bad?
Shouldn't be that hard considering the number of maps available right now. Just a matter of grabbing one of those and tweaking it I hope... Will be a winter project for medrwrx wrote:Unfortunately, you still will have to spend some time doing some actual tuning to make sure the car runs and idles correctly, even off boost, so you can get it to and from the inspection station, and so they don't fail it for other reasons (visible smoke, audible misfires, etc.)
