2002 Audi S4 6-speed twin turbo - SOLD
Hi all. Some of you may remember me. It's been a long while since I've come out to anything. The time has come for me to move on. I have a Certified Pre-Owned 2002 Audi S4 with 94K miles. The CPO is good for another 6K miles up until 100K. $13,500 obo
Induktion Motorsports did the recent timing belt service. That includes water pump and some seals. I also had them install 034 snub mount with bracket and motor mounts (street density) while they were in there and do an alignment on the car.
I'll try to list every mod that the car has but I'm sure I'll miss something
Performance / Engine
* APR chip
* SSAC full turbo-back exhaust installed with resonators (test pipes included, but not installed)
* Stratmosphere Hyperboost DVs
* 034 motor mounts
* 034 snub mount
Exterior
* Eurogear CF hood with the sides of the hood painted
* Front bumper has been RS4 modded to remove the horizontal bar
* RS4 front grille
* Fresh paint on front bumper, front fenders, 4 doors, rear quarters, and roof. The only parts that hasn't been painted are the trunk, rear bumper and the skirts. I planned to get a CF trunk and Euro S4 rear bumper.
* Aerocatch hood latches (flush mount - I have yet to see another car with the same latches)
* 2 - Front filler plates (not installed) in case you want to roll with no front plate
* Stock hood (not installed)
* M3 lip spoiler (not installed)
Wheels / Suspension
* Stasis StreetSport coilovers
* 4 - 18x8 OZ Superleggera painted gloss black with General UHP 225/40/18
* 4 - 17" Audi Celebration wheels powdercoated flat black by Extreme Podwercoating in Lorton, VA (I intended to buy winter tires for these)
* 1 - 17" Audi Celebration wheel (stock silver as spare. Slightly bent. I never got around to getting it fixed since I still have the factory spare in the trunk)
Interior
* Sport interior heated seats (two tone sliver alcantara on black leather)
* CF trim from Carbon Copy Designs ( 4 doors pieces, 2 pieces on the dash, hazard surround, shifter plate, ash tray, REAR ASHTRAY) You won't find anyone else with the rear ash tray in CF
* RS4 shift knob in suede
* Suede shift boot
* Podi boost gauge in podi column pod (this gauge matches the cluster in the S4 perfectly)
* New LCD screen replaced by Audi under CPO coverage (no missing pixels)
* Audi winter floor mats and rubber cargo mat for the trunk
* Audi stock floor mats in perfect condition (not installed)
* Audi Phatnoise 20GB phatbox (integrates with stock radio)
* JL Stealth box housing 2 8" kicker subs
* Audi 6 disc changer (not installed since the phatbox replaces it)
Miscellaneous
* Extra oil filters

Your car is beautiful! If it were an Avant, you'd have a buyer right here.
Good luck with the sale. What model Suby are you looking to pickup?

I'm not sure yet. I'm still doing my research. It must be a manual though.
I'm looking for a daily driver that I can one day transform into a 400hp grocery getter. Is there a year that is best for swaps?

Re: 2002 Audi S4 6-speed twin turbo - $13500
You actually don't need to do any kinda swap. The motor is pretty stout as is.
I've got a ton of STi components in my 04... Sir William has some as well.
a 300/350awhp daily is very easy to achieve. 400 and you start breaking the trans.
Personally I'd recommend 04 - 08. They all have serious potential. But they do get heavier as they get newer!

Re: 2002 Audi S4 6-speed twin turbo - $13500
Or if you have lots of bank you could buy a 2009 FXT and do a full 2008+ STI swap into it
Yeah, I have my '08 forester and I am running a conservative 300WHP/300TQ right now. You go higher and you will need a new block and tranny shortly. I agree with Colin about the '04-08 year range...best years. Easy to get parts and swap stuff in. Something breaks, you just replace it with something stronger. I have a buddy running 400WHP on his foz but he has a built engine and super beefy tranny.
Good luck with your sell...sorry to see it go, though...loved the ride!

Re: 2002 Audi S4 6-speed twin turbo - $13500
The first gen is probably what I'll end up with since they are in my price range. It looks like the XT started in 2004 right? As much as the turbo appeals to me, I'll have to wait a few years for that.
Would an impreza be a better platform? The car on nasioc's homepage got me thinking
I'm considering something like these:

or

Re: 2002 Audi S4 6-speed twin turbo - $13500
FWIW, it will take nothing short of $10k to make an older non-turbo Suby a turbo Suby.
I researched doing the same to a 2001 Impreza Outback (my fav wagon evAr) and it ended up being cheaper to buy and mod an 04 FXT. I'm also at a conservative 300/300 with all the STi goodies except the transmission.
I built it to haul. I've used it to tow a motorcycle to the carolinas and back. filled it to its gills with ikea furniture (literally 500lbs of ikea furniture), survived two house moves, countless snowboard trips, etc... And it still kicks ass at the autox.
The Forester is arguably my favorite body Suby. And i've owned most of them by now. (leggy, impreza RS, WRX, STi)
oops,
