Motorcycle Crash Tech TV Show

Probably a show worth checking out, tonight at 9PM. Show is on the National Geographic Channel.

You can also catch the show at midnight and Sept 24 at 5PM.

i think high siding (though never done it personally) is one of the scariest ways to have an off.

I just can't imagine how that'd feel... you're doing 120mph heading towards a corner, you mess up your downshift, all of a sudden you're thrown 8 feet in the air, land on the ground (if not on the bike itself) and then slide for 150' across the pavement, gravel and grass while you try to scramble out of the way of the sliding bike and the other racers on the track...

Time to invest in a Jet Pack. Or at least, G-force triggered air bag deployed personal protection system. (Michelin man)

There is an airbag jacket on the market, along with these new impact resistant jells, they are a dense jelly until impact when they turn rock hard. J just bought a ski hat with it in it, on impact it has the same protection rating as a normal ski helmet.

Yeah, I noticed that when I was perusing them earlier this year online. I was just imagining getting into an accident on one and then being launched off your bike by the airbag

Yep, works pretty well! D3O makes Motorcycle stuff too now :) Video, just make sure to skip 1:04 to 2:56 in it. I'll bring the ski hat to our next meet. In the video around 3 minutes in, you can see how the stuff works.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.
