Gauge, gauge who's got the gauge (at least the instructions)
Howdy all, my apologies for my absence recently...
Just bought an Autometer Ultralite Carbon Fiber Boost and A/F gauge pair off of EBAY and wanted to pick brains re: installation.
The boost gauge I'm pretty sure I can handle (except for which wire to tap for lighting) but the AirFuel I'm sorta stumped. I read elsewhere that I need to buy a new O2 sensor to work with the Autometer due to voltage. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.....

The line to tap for lighting is pretty easy, I can help you with that. As far as the A/F gauge, I'm suprised it didn't come with a wideband O2 sensor. I'm betting that Autometer has a list of approved O2 sensors on their website though.
Hope to see ya soon, we were hoping we didn't scare you off!

No no... you'd have to do alot more to scare me off!! Works just been nutty recently.
I'll check out autometer's site for an O2 sensor, thanks for the tip
I'm assuming I can use the appropriate wire (which ever it may be) behind the dash gauges for the lighting and everything since I'm installing one of those 2 gauge bezels to hold them both.
I'm hoping to try to make the install day coming up as well as the paintball outing. Where is ISP Racing btw (sorry, I realize this is the wrong forum)

Narrowband is 0-1 volt and wideband is 0-5 volts.
If you want to use the narrowband A/F gauge with your narrowband O2 sensor, you're ok.
If you want to use the narrowband A/F gauge with a wideband O2 sensor, you'll need to convert the gauge to a widband A/F gauge.

^^^^ Ding ding
Narrow bands usually don't go beyond 11:1 or 10:1. If you're tuning, there might be times you go richer than that.

Gauge update!!
Have the boost gauge installed mostly but a couple probs..
Still cant figure out which wires to use for the light.. there's plenty behind the stock gauge faces (duh) but dont wanna start hackin into those...
The gauge(s) are installed into one of those two gauge bezels to sit below the tach and fuel gauges but cant figure how to tighten the gauge into the bezel. I'm assuming those to long bolts out the back of the gauge housing are for that but that's as far as I got...
I just couldnt resist the nice weather to start playin around... this weekend was crazy at work so I missed the install day
Help when ya can... thanks

The guages used a friction fit in my case, nothing really to bolt on to per say. There is a way you can reverse the U shaped peice that came with it though so you can push up against the back of the bezel. If you come tonight, I can show you where I tapped into the electrical side of things

Well couldnt make it tonight (obviously)... but did do homework with my son so GoodGuy point for me
Managed to get the clock out and look up a diagram so that i can tap into the white (on when headlights are on) and the black (ground duh). Will finish this tomorrow.
Just yell if I've got it wrong....
Also quick note: Used T valve that was too small and the hose popped off on 66... now I'm new and improved with large valve...

I don't blame you for staying home at all. Good Dad Point!
I took it from where the fog light buttons are, but it really doesn't matter that much
Throw a zip tie around the T if you really want it to be good an secure. I've had mine on for over a year without zip ties though and it's fine
