Teams Are Dropping Out?!

Post by WRXWagon2112 »

Why didn't I hear of this earlier ... ?!

Apparently, both Citroën and Peugeot are dropping out of the WRC for next season. Rumor has it that Sebastian Loeb will be driving for a Citroën privateer but that leaves a heck of a lot of drivers vying for just a few spots on the remaining teams.

Anyone know for certain if Subaru is going to continue? I've heard rumors that they'll continue with a Toyota engine but nothing definate.

I hadn't heard that, but it doesn't surprise me. Hopefully Subaru can pick up a couple great drivers and strengthen the team. They can only gain from this.

Last I heard, Petter has another year on his contract and Subaru is happy with the pairing of Saracin (sp?) and Atkinson in the second seat. But of course, contracts can be broken. That is ever more likely with the wealth of drivers that will be available.

Hmmm ... I wonder if any of the teams are willing to take a chance on a little-known, and little-experienced, American driver named Alan? 8)

What a SAD day when Subaru has to use a Toy engine... I agree, nothing but good can come of this. I REALLY disagreed with the stupid "no flat 4's" law though... maybe with so many people dropping it, they will start being more flexable.

the french teams didn't cheat, there cars were just uber light

now cheating was on GP

when they had drivers from all over competing in different style cars against each other, and they had a ferrari break down but continued racing it
