I'll go out there w/ U gabe.

Problem is, I'm not going to be able to make it to the show. I got roped into being the foreman for a building project tomorrow.

If it rains or snows, I'll be able to come, but otherwise, I'll just enjoy the food and company.

Oh, and no discounted tix from AAA :(

I got my ticket already. I'll see you on the morrow sober or (more than likely) hungover.

I'm not going to the show, just meeting everybody for breakfast. I have to meet the guy who's buying my old monitor and UK plays South Carolina @ 1:00.

Looks like about a dozen for breakfast.

Metro time: probably around 10:30-11:00. Depends on stragglers, ATM runs, etc...

Impressions:

EVO X: :notcool:
Very cheap looking interior and exterior plastics. Makes GTS look classy.

Forester: :notcool:
Standing between it and the Tribeca, you could hardly tell the difference.

G-8: :plusone:
Once again, thanks to Holden giving GM a mainstream car I wouldn't mind driving.

135i: :plusone:
The best value Beemer isn't half-bad looking.

GT-R: :nana:
Looks amazing in person.

Any others?

Nice pix! Looked like a lot of fun, wish I could have been there. How 'close' did they let you get to the cars?

Some you could sit in (sat in the Audi convertible), some you could walk up to and touch (Evo) and some were up on pedestals (WRX, G8, GTR) or behind ropes (almost everything over $100k - Lambo's, Mas's, classic Mustangs)

Yeah +1 on the pics. What's this:

http://gallery.dcawd.com/main.php?g2_itemId=253728

Those look like Murcielago tail lamps, but the spoiler and rear window are wrong. New model?

and it's amazing how much the R8:

http://gallery.dcawd.com/main.php?g2_itemId=253746

looks like the TT from the front/from that angle. which, I guess, means I like the way the new TTs look a lot. I just wish they had the speed to back it up.

That lambo is actually for sale at the lambo, ferrari, and maserati dealership that is right next to sterling bmw... i have actually gone in and looked at every ferrari and lambo and maserati that was at the dc auto show about a month before at the local dealership including this black one! They said to me that it is just a gallardo that they put an aero package on including the spoiler!

ps... elzorro i never got a username or password for the gallery so i couldnt post anything yet!

Hey Donald,
Go to http://gallery.dcawd.com and create a username that matches the one here. I'll approve the login later (I cleaned up a bunch the other day and I think your's was one of them).
Take care,
