WTB: 05 LGT Wagon, 5MT

Post by hotsam »

I'm looking for a 2005 Legacy GT Wagon, with a 5MT (of course), preferably with less than 30,000 miles and with no major modifications.

Good luck finding one! The 5mt LGT wagons are very hard to come by.

Keep us posted on this Sam. My next auto purchase, for the wife, will either be a Legacy GT wagon or a Forester XT. She has to have a manual and I have seen very few LGT wagons with them.

Good luck.

Foresters are much easier to find.

Farrish claims to have found one for me, but I've never heard anything good about them, and they were terrible when we tried to buy a Mazda3 from them (we ended up walking out in disgust (Woodbridge location)).

Does anyone have any personal experience with Farrish Subaru in Fairfax?

Farrish didn't work out.

Hell, I'll even consider a sedan if the price is right.

Found one in NY, where I used to live, so I was lucky enough to have a friend test it out for me.

Awesome! Congrats! I have heard from my buddy Dan at AndrewTech that the turbo in the Legacy GTs will blow up on people. As long as you are under warranty you are good.

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.

You had to go all the way to New York to find a manual Legacy XT wagon?!

I guess I know what my wife is getting. Hope she like the Forester.

I found 3 within 500 miles. 2 were in Boston. One had 28,000 miles and was a total lemon (need new tires, each wheel had curb rash, was throwing CEL's left and right, and the cruise control didn't work). The other had 32,000 miles but they wanted almost $25k for it. So I went with the one in Rochester with 19,000 miles that cost less.

You have a good cycle working. Buy a car, sell a car.
Enjoy the new wagon!
I'm still shocked at how few manual GT wagons there are out there.
Glad you found one.
