New tires arrived yesterday. I'll post more pictures but here's a teaser.

Took some new pics of the car while driving home,... getting a feeling for my new Azenis RT615 in 255/40R17,... love the tires, makes the car feel brand new. Forgot what I was missing while I had the Proxes4s on .... I'd say these handle better than the Advans. I go to RRC for sway/bushings/and alignment next week,... Gonna hold off on coilovers for a while.

Enjoy!

And some new pics I got on the way home....

On an Evo???

it's all in the total tire diameter,... 245/45 tires come out a bigger diameter than the stock 235/45,... so not only is there wider tire but it's also closer to the liner

235/45 make a total tire diameter of 23.3 inches

245/45 comes closer to a total of 24.5 inches

255/40 comes to pretty much 23 inches

not only can the larger tire diameter cause rubbing but also can adversely effect your final drive ratio,...

I've read a little bit about those new Azenis, please let us know how they fare under "spirited" driving conditions, especially if you get some track/autocross time on them. I'd be very curious to see how they do.

I'll be getting some AutoX time on these,... but after the past few days and some "spirited driving" I can already tell you these will far outperform the last Azenis,...

After taking 3 of the other junkies for a ride in my car they all say that this is their next tire

One of my buddies who is sponsored by Falken ran these at a NASA Time Trials race last weekend and was the on;y car there on "street" tires

First in his class in a NX2000,... 15 seconds slower than the 600awhp caged S4 racecar that cose easy 10 times as much as his little Econobox around a huge track

I posted something about Dan's trip to the track,... it was at Infineon, which by no means favors cars with little power, but he was pulling on all the big power boys in the turns

Good choice putting $4,000 rims on your 1990 Honda Civic. That's like Betty White going out and getting her tits done.
