Random Party Dec. 2nd

Post by Libra Monkee »

My roommate is throwing a birthday party for one of her friends and wants lot of people to come. Since you guys seem to be at least somewhat creditable I thought I'd invite you all.

P-A-R-T-WHY? Because I GOTTA!
10 points if you can name the movie

Where:
Casa del Monkee y Amigos

When:
This Saturday, Dec 2nd
7:00p But if you're bored and/ or thirsty we won't turn you away.

As far as bringing anything. I'm not particular. This is basically a boozefest so bring your drink of choice. I told WRXWagon, we're not "lite" beer drinkers so we probably won't have much of that. I've got a six bottle Lazy Susan full of liquor. Plus, I'll be making Soju Slushies! My roommate (Alicia) has various wines and champagnes. My other roommate (Chris) is anti-social and I'm not sure if he even knows about the party yet.

I fly in Friday night. I wash clothes and re-pack in the afternoon. I have to get on aplane to Vancouver at 0900 on Sunday 3 December. The rest of the time can be used for partying.

If I can get somebody to to make sure I am awake and out of your house by 0700, I would love to come and imbibe amber liquids from hand blown glass bottles from mexico. And if you havn't found the Petron bottle that went missing on your birthday, I'll bring my own.

I updated some details. Straight from the horse's mouth. Basically we are starting 7ish, bring booze and beer, and if you have other obligations (work, school, etc.) just make it when you can and we won't have to hunt you down and steal your kidneys.

When I asked about people showing up:
Alicia wrote: Image
Anytime after seven. A lot of the people coming have to work saturday night, so they won't even get here until after 10:30. Tell your friends they can bring beer, wine liquor. I'll have lot's of food. I think that if you invite 100 people to a party 25 will show, so invite everyone you know.

Thanks to everyone who came to the party. I had a great time! That is, at least until about 10 when the house filled with Alicia's restaurant worker friends. Have you ever been to one of those parties where you don't know anyone there? So you try meet people but they (for the most part) turn out to be, um... morons! Then you find yourself in a corner of the house where no one is speaking English. After a while you hear things shattering. Ultimately, you realize the party has lost it's thrill so you take one more drink for the road, call up one of your lady friends across the street, and spend the night.
