That other hockey info thread
OK, so the last one was a bit misleading for some.
NHL ICE HOCKEY
Here is the deal. A couple of my co-workers and their S.O.s want to go to a few hockey games but not sit in the top level.
Problem: Partial season ticket plans are only in top level seats.
Solution: Get a bunch of people together to get a group discount for individual games.
I'm a upper deck game watcher myself, but wouldn't mind getting a group of 12-15 people together for a discount and sitting in the 200 level (there are no 300 level seats).
Post up if you are a) interested, and b) what team you have a preference for, if any.
When I get back next week, I'll see what my co-workers want and try to organize from there.

Interested. Would also be a +1 so that makes 2 to add to a list. No real team preference.
Confused though - and this may just be ignorance on my part but CnW in the "other" other thread said that DC's hockey fan base was ballsakular. Would think that would make getting *any* tickets for a game pretty easy. Although, haven't been to a DC hockey game before so.........like I said, that's where that whole ignorance on my part comes in.
Now welcoming enlightenment............

Interested. Would love to see the Wild, but will be happy with almost anything. Would need two tickets.
DC's fanbase stinks, but there are people that buy season tickets that never use them, and they never get back out for sale. So you buy 300 level tickets because the 100 level is sold out, and stare and be frustrated that 50% of the seats are empty...

the only sold out games i know of are the season openers, and the year we went to the cup finals (i was in 2nd row for game 2 against buffalo that year right behind the buffalo bench. r4p3d). it gets a bit trickier to get tickets when philly, pittsburgh, or new york are in town, but even then there are still tickets available.Osiros wrote:Interested. UPDATE:
Our office is having a November B-day celebration by taking us to the Fri Nov 17th game at 7:00 against the Carolina Hurricanes. Not a huge discount but the side mezzanine tix that are ususally $35 will be $30 for anybody who wants to go with us, let me know by Friday and I will buy tix for you.
Just make sure you either show up to the game, or find a replacement if you have to no show. I don't want to be left holding the bag.
Notify me by Fri if you want to pay.

That's about the price for a decent ticket though :/Mr Kleen wrote:$30 ticket doesn't leave much in the wallet for beer.![]()
I'm still down for a DCAWD hockey game "meet" if you guys are.
I might be up for this and wouldn't mind making it the DCAWD hockey game if Zak doesn't mind buying all those tickets!
