DCAWD Meet - Wednesday 6/22/05 - HT's

Post by Sabre »

Hello all,
The next meeting of DC All Wheel Drive will be on Wednesday, 6/22/05 at 7:15pm. We will be meeting outside for a little while, then going inside to grab some grub! While we are outside, please stay out of the right of ways. No standing in the road and such, just stay in between or infront of the cars :) If hoods open, only leave them open long enough to do you business.

Hard Times is located at:
6362 Springfield Plaza
Springfield, Virginia 22150
(703) 913-5600

Link of map: here

Most up to date information found in our forum here.

Let me know if you are coming so that we can try to keep an accurate count.

PLEASE keep things reasonable coming into the parking lot. Take care all and I hope to see you there!

Note: This is an AWD, we meet no matter what Mother Nature throws at us! Even if you do not have a AWD car, feel free to come!

"I'm on the list."

"I don't see your name, sir."

"No, I'm on there. Check again."

"Sir, I'm going to have to ask you to step away."

"But I'm on the list!"

"Sir, you are not on the list. Please don't make me call the authorities."

"But but but I'M ON THE LIST!"

(and no Stage 2 for me. the tech quit Don Beyer yesterday.)

I try to poke my head out of the ground every once in a while. . . to see my shadow and what not. Actually, I'm more of a mole than a groundhog.

I feel bad, I've missed a few discussions where I really could have had some input (up-pipe/downpipe/exhaust stuff). I need to do better about keeping up. . . and making it out to meets of course.

I'm finally getting all the pieces together for the IC sprayer. I'd like to get that in and running before the height of summer.

Ohh... about now would be good. :) But seriously. 495 outer loop is a mess in the evening. You'll be stop and go until Little River Turnpike, it'll get up to speed, and then you'll get back into stop and go as you get to 95. One trick I use, get off on Braddock Road (East-bound) and then go south on Backlick Rd. Shopping center will be about 2.1 miles, Bland St, take a right. That will keep you from having to line up with everyone else to go 95S.

Or just live off of Backlick. :D Makes for an easy trip to the HT meets!

Okay, count me in. I've gotta get Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle back to Julian. Plus I'll try to bring that UTEC if anyone's interested.

And show people my slightly damaged mirror.

sorry guys, i'm going to have to back out of this one. I've been wrestling with these fuel trims all day, still running leaner than I'm confortable with, specially for a 1+ hour trip. I'll catch up with you fellas next time.

Ouch, that sucks! What EM are you running? How bad are the EGT's and A/F's? Make sure your care is safe, then come out... cause I'd definitely like a ride at some point ;) See you at the next one!

I'm currently running DSMLINK. basically, the ECU is estimating around 15 psi and the measured is somewhere around 21 psi, so needless to say, i'm not getting enough fuel. My car is a big fun mess right now. Friday, she gets a GM 3bar MAP sensor so the ecu doesnt have to use an estimated value from the crappy MAS.

Any pics of the meet?
