Interest in a DCAWD BBQ at the shop? - DELAYED

Post by VIPGarage »

Hey all,

We wanted to see what you guys thought about hosting a DCAWD BBQ for you guys. Mainly as a meet and greet. We'll have some great food and drinks for everyone and it gives us all a great chance to know each other and for you guys to check out our shop and see what we are all about.

I know there are some cross over members from DCEVO, Eastccoast boost and Team trinity here so I'm sure a good amount of you have already been here.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Interested?

P.S. We are really good cooks too

Hey Martin,
Thanks for posting up an invite! We're always interested in getting to know a local shop. When did you have in mind? We have a Founders meet (aka, the governing body of DCAWD) next week to discuss club business, so it's a perfect time to bring this up and get opinions. Just let us know a couple of dates that would work for you all and I'll bring it up at the meeting next week.
Take care,
Julian

I think we might be able to help out with some condiment choices.

Just a little excursion into the fridge last night, and I though I would take this opportunity to shatre...

hahahahaha great picture.

We like to have a good time at these events and make them different. Having just dogs and burgers gets real boring. We had a BBQ for DCEVOclub while we have Al from Dynoflash in town and it ended up being kind of a potluck thing where people even brought some awesome food and we brought a lot of awesome food ourselves too.

Dates are pretty open. What did you guys have in mind? We have Hyperfest on the weekend of the 7th-9th so that's out but anytime after that should work out.

thoughts?

There are a few of us that will be at Hyperfest too, so no worries about scheduling it then! I'll talk to the guys next week and offer up some dates the day after. Sound like a plan?

July 29th would give us a month to prepare and get the word out.
Any sooner and I don't think we'd be able to get enough folks out.
By the way, how many people would be too many, too few?

the 29th works.

I don't think there is really such a thing as too much or too few. We are not going to be one of those places that has you come just to try to sell you something. We like to have people here just to meet and greet. You guys will get to see who we are as people and as vendors. You'll get an idea of what we do and that is all we look for out of an event like this because we are confident that once you come and meet us and see who we are people will do business with us.

We need to start doing some planning and promotion for this event.
The 29th is just around the corner and will be upon us before we know it.

I've been talking to VIP and it is not going to happen on the 29th. We are still planning on doing it, just trying to get our schedules lined up :)
