Original invite is here:
http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showth ... p?t=267687

(registration required)
Thought I'd post this and if the Mods can make this a sticky that'd be great.
3rd annual charity event for the clients of the Northen Va Training Center.
The 100% of the proceeds will go to help people with mentall and physical handicapps.
Many local shops are donating raffle prizes this year too. Last year hats, shirts, 5-point harnesses, dyno-time, momo stuff etc. was raffled away!! We are still looking to get more shops to donate items for this years event so if you are interested LMK (fuel750@yahoo.com). Shops who donate will be advertised and listed as sponsors. Tax deductions are also avalible for donations.
I have put on this event for the last 2 years and so far it has been a great success. Last year we raised over $1200 .
This is a state faciltity and we are registered so no problem with police.
Food will also be onsale(proceeds are all donated too) Hotdog, chips,
and a drink was like $2 dollars last year.
date-4/24/05
where- Northen Virginia Training Center, 9901 Braddock Road, Fairfax, Virginia 22032
When -12-4pm
Entrants $20 per car. (donation)
General Spectators free.
if anyone has any questions pm me or email (fuel750@yahoo.com)
Thanks,
-Jon
I have gone to both prior events and it's a good time. Lots of different cars (showcars, racecars, daily drivers, whatever). It's basically just a meet, but with a donation.

Plus I won 3 dyno pulls last year in the raffle :)

Last year I was the ONLY Subaru there (I didn't pimp it as much as I should have, I guess). So I was rooting for some Subie love this year. It's not much time or money and it's for a good cause.

(sorry if you see this on multiple forums)

Thanks,
john

Eh, it is not going to rain continuously from 12-4. Besides, are we not Subaru owners? :)

If my wife is out of town I'm definetly in. Anyone want to do a micro-caravan for this?

I could be persuaded to do a micro-van there. Please keep in mind I am still a "ewww-nooos" guy at heart, so things like rain and snow are evil and must be distroyed. :) But if it's not POURING down wet stuff I'll make it.

Colin, sounds good. Drop me a message in the morning and we'll figure out the details.

John, having problems with that street address. This is near the intersection of Braddock Rd and Burke Station Road?

That worked for me.. it is on your left side if you are coming from the Beltway (i.e. it is on the south side of Braddock)

Got it. I was using an older piece of software, a little goofy sometimes.

I had a great time, thanks for inviting us John. Some of the Supra's were nice, but I'm still in love with two of the MR2's that I saw there! IIRC, $1100 this year... not bad at all for what some would consider a rained in event (light sprinkles every once in awhile)

Thanks for coming out, yall! Final total was 1216 w/o food revenue, so it definitely turned out well.

We are already brainstorming on how to make next year's event even bigger..

I think we could bring alot more people than we did this year by advertising it more. Next time, I'll send out a notice to the e-mail list which is always received well.
